Coconut Oil Cleanser With Bentonite Clay

I have fallen head over heels with coconut oil!

I use it in my cooking, I use it in my hair, I've moisturized my skin with it, I've brushed my teeth with it, and now I'm reinventing the way I wash my face with it.

This is not my first coconut oil cleanser post. I've been using coconut oil as a face-wash for years  by itself, with apple cider vinegar..... so many fabulous iterations.

In this recipe, I'm incorporating the healing and purifying properties of bentonite clay into my coconut oil cleanser in this fragrant and skin pacifying formula.

Here's what to do:

Fill your jar (the size doesn't matter) 1/4 of the way with bentonite clay.

Using a wooden or plastic spoon, mix everything together. ever use metal with bentonite clay as metal will deactivate the clay and it will lose its healing properties.

If you're working with a plastic top, shake your content for even blending.

Make sure to gather your clay from the bottom of the jar.

if your coconut oil was melted to a liquid, refrigerate for five minutes then stir and repeat until your coconut oil cleanser is creamy.

Store is a cool dry place. If your bathroom is hot or if it's summer, you may want to consider storing in the refrigerator.

This gentle cleanser will draw impurities from the skin, add moisture, protect against blemishes, reduce inflammation and minimize pores. Did I mention it smells amazing too?
